Every winter, the small village of Khichan in Rajasthan, India transforms into a breathtaking sanctuary as thousands of migratory Demoiselle cranes arrive from distant lands. Covering the open fields, these elegant birds create a mesmerizing sight as they feed, rest, and move together in harmony. Adding to the magic, several cranes can be seen soaring gracefully across the clear blue sky above, their calls echoing through the desert landscape. This annual migration has made Khichan one of the most important and celebrated birding destinations in India.
