Khasi devotees congregate at Shillong's Seng Khasi Hall to commemorate a customary celebration. In order to preserve their native spiritual customs, devotees gather to recite prayers and read sacred literature in Khasi. Before the British arrived in India, the Khasi community engaged in nature worship. Children and locals engage in vibrant processions around the streets while dressed in vibrant traditional Khasi clothing. In order to create a lively and joyous mood, several people hoist community flags while others beat drums. With its emphasis on traditional beliefs, music, and group festivities that sustain the community's legacy in the Meghalayan hills, the festival showcases pride in Khasi ethnic identity.
