Followers of the Seng Khasi community in Shillong assemble at the Seng Khasi Hall to celebrate the festival of the Seng Khasis. They read religious texts and chant in Khasi language. The Khasis were also a nature-worshipping tribe of people before the advent of the Britishers in India. "It may be noted that Seng Khasi is a Socio-Religious Cultural organisation of the indigenous Khasi belonging to the Niam Khasi religion.
