Rice being cleaned on a farm in Punjab through crop cleaning machine. Workers pour the impure rice into the machine and the cleaned rice comes out from the machine. The local brand here is called Prince and they have manufactured this crop cleaner that is being used for fine cleaning of grain and unseparated paddy seeds. This machine removes impurities from the crop. The cleaner may also be separating the husk from the paddy so it appears to be a de-husker as well. A woman sweeps the cleaned grain back into the pile, ready for bagging. The rice sacks are piling up in the backdrop. Punjab has perhaps the largest scale of agriculture in India, permitting for large scale mechanized agriculture.
