Ranthambhor visitors get so close to tigers that the tigers no longer remain truly wild. Our theory is that the tigers of Ranthambhor have seen more human beings than most human beings have seen tigers! I suspect this is true... Close and frequent proximity to human beings means that each tiger in Ranthambhor has possibly seen millions of human beings in its lifetime. Each human has possibly seen one tiger in his or her lifetime. Natural instincts are interfered with in the close proximity of humans, the constant sounds of camera shutters, motor horns and runnign engines, and the like. It can't be good for the big cats!
