As always, the day begins with the sunrise. Around that time, Keoladeo National Park - a former duck-hunting reserve of the Maharajas - opens its gates and let its first visitors in. With a variety of flora and fauna, this park of Bharatpur (state of Rajasthan) is quite famous among bird lovers and nature enthusiasts. Counting both resident and migratory birds, this park recorded about 364 different bird species, plus a diverse array of other life forms living within this mosaic of grasslands, woodlands, woodland swamps and wetlands. From common barbets to spotted owlets, storks and cormorants, spotted deer and families of wild boar, this park has loads to offer.
