Indian Peafowl (Pavo cristatus) observed in New Delhi.Both male and female Indian peafowl resting and moving through dense foliage and flowering plants. A female peafowl, commonly called a peahen, is seen perched among vibrant pink bougainvillea blossoms. Her muted brown and grey plumage provides natural camouflage, helping protect her in the wild. Additional scenes show a male peacock displaying its striking iridescent blue head, neck, and breast along with its distinctive fan-shaped crest and contrasting white facial patches. The bird is perched among tree branches and greenery, reflecting the species’ common behaviour of roosting in elevated locations for safety. Indian Peafowl are frequently found in forests, orchards, parks, and urban green spaces throughout India.
