Inside one of the galleries in Shahid Smarak Museum in Uttar Pradesh are paintings depicting the events during the first war of freedom struggle. The museum houses artifacts, paintings, dioramas which are related to the freedom struggle in 1857 which started out in Meerut itself, in UP state.
