An Indian Rat Snake (Ptyas mucosa), also known as the Dhaman, is moving gracefully across a forest floor covered with dry leaves. The non-venomous snake displays a long, slender body with light brown to olive-tan colouration and glossy scales that reflect the natural sunlight. Its large dark eyes and distinctive black markings along the lip scales are clearly visible as it navigates through the leaf litter. Surrounded by fallen leaves, twigs, exposed roots, and scattered green vegetation, the snake demonstrates its natural behaviour while exploring its woodland habitat in search of food and shelter.
