This poor pair of House Crows has been duped by a Koel who has landed an egg into it's nest, in a classical example of brood parasitism. They cannot tell the difference between their own and the cuckoo's eggs. Watch the first chick hatch out of its egg before your eyes! Bare unprotected chicks with no feathers and their eyes shut, exposed to the world in a flimsy nest high above traffic. And yet they will survive and their numbers will grow in this world... The parents mother and father the new born blind chicks with wings that look more like dolphin flippers! The chicks struggle for their parents' attention, squawking and opening their beaks even as their eyes are closed and they are essentially blind to the world.
