Bare unprotected chicks with no feathers and their eyes shut, exposed to the world in a flimsy nest high above traffic. And yet they will survive and their numbers will grow in this world... The parents mother and father the new born blind chicks with wings that look more like dolphin flippers! Chicks struggle for their parents' attention, squawking and opening their beaks even as their eyes are closed and they are essentially blind to the world. A Kauwa or Corvus splendens - the House Crow of India. Blue eggs speckled with brown sit in the nest alongside newly-hatched chicks. The parents tear apart a morsel of meat to feed to the new borns.
