Golden statue of Buddha housed in World Peace Pagoda, Pokhara. On top of a hill overlooking the Annapurna Mountain range which reflects off Lake Phewa Tal. Pokhara Shanti stupa also known as Pokhara world peace pagoda is located on top of the Ananda hill at the height of 1100 meters. Shanti Stupa in Pokhara is the first World Peace Pagoda in Nepal and seventy-first pagoda built by Nipponzan-Myōhōji in the world. There are three paths up to the pagoda and several small cafes once you arrive. The World Peace Pagoda offers a lot more than just a stupa. It's a lake, a small trek and a mountain view. To reach the World Peace Pagoda, you can take a taxi from Pokhara, but you still have to walk a bit to reach the pagoda and its main viewpoint. Be hydrated to hike all the way to the Pagoda it migh
