This is a clear view of how mountain Hiunchuli is an extension of Annapurna South of the Annapurna Himal ranges. From left to right; Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Annapurna 3 and hidden behind the clouds, Machapuchare. Annapurna South, also called Annapurna Dakshin or Moditse, is a mountain in the Annapurna Himal range of the Himalayas. It was first ascended in 1964 and is 7,219 metres tall. The nearby mountain Hiunchuli is, in fact, an extension of Annapurna South. Hiunchuli, at a height of 6,441 meters, forms a massive south-facing wall together with Annapurna South. Its eastern face overlooks the Modi Khola and guards the entrance to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The mountain is not technically difficult to climb but is vulnerable to rock falls, and route finding may also be a prob
