71-foot (22-metre) golden Buddha Shakyamuni statue at Stok Village, located approximately 17 km southeast of Leh in Ladakh, India. Situated at the foothills of Stok Kangri, the monument was constructed between 2012 and 2015, and the statue and adjoining temple were consecrated by the 14th Dalai Lama. The seated Buddha, holding an alms bowl, overlooks the Indus Valley from an ornate multi-tiered pedestal, with a traditional white stupa positioned on the hillside behind it. The surrounding landscape includes Ladakh's cold desert terrain, terraced agricultural fields, scattered village houses, winding mountain roads, and snow-capped Himalayan peaks.
