In those days we did not have a higher education system in Bhutan so for that we had to go to India for higher secondary education. In India, Kalimpong and Darjeeling which is closer to Bhutan so initially, I went to Kalimpong. Then I got India Government Scholarship and I was sent to Nainital for my higher education in Hindi medium. Post that I joined Southfield College founded as Loreto College in Darjeeling. I joined my service in 1965, I joined as a PA to Chief Secretary where I had to do typing and letter writing for his Majesty's royal secretary as well.
