Chin straps on the ready, female Bayas arrives to approve of the work done by the males at the Baya colony on a palm tree. The brightly coloured males with yellow mantles and bellies chirp and sit atop the nest, and flap their winds excitedly, to attract the more drab brown and greenish females on their inspection rounds. The wind is so high and the exposed Baya Weaver birds nests further hang down on the exposed branches, causing them to sway wildlife in the slightest breeze. The males have finished their chin straps and are ready to invite the females to inspect their nests, approve and mate with them...
