Multiple waterfalls cascade down a steep, dark and rugged mountain face in the Panchachuli region of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. Several distinct streams of water descend through vertical cracks and narrow channels in the rocky cliffs, with the largest waterfall visible near the centre-left of the frame. The surrounding high-altitude landscape features steep, heavily eroded slopes and extensive rock and moraine debris. Snow- and ice-covered mountain ridges rise in the wider valley beneath a layer of heavy cloud.
