A leopard attacks a female Peafowl or a peahen, albeit unsuccessfully. After a quick dash, the leopard loses the peahen to flight. A Nilgai antelope mother suckles her young one as a leopard looks out at the herd nearby. Instead, the leopard takes off after a cow that has strayed into the forest, but misses there too. The antelope are now all at alert. Finally, in a moment of weak vigilance, the leopard gets the young nilgai antelope that was being suckled by its mother moments back. The nilgai mother doesn't give up and instead tries to bother the leopard out of the bush it's resting in, to consume its calf in peace.
