We call Indian transvestites as Kinnar and they prefer that too. The older and more derogatory term for them was hijras. This kinnar emerges from the Mayapuri Metro Station. Fortunately, there is greater acceptance for their life choices and ways now. This kinner wears a bright red saree and carries a bulky bag on the shoulder, and propositions a car driver. The kinner approaches a car and asks for money, but is refused. Traffic goes by in a massive rush... The kinner persists and approaches different cars for alms and help. Kinner also offer their services to car drivers and pedestrians but they are mostly rebuffed. A group of labourers carry heavy saria iron and steel rods on their cycle rickshaws.
