In the fog and mist of the Himalaya, one wrong turn can lead to a deadly accident, such as this one in Lahaul, Himachal Pradesh. A Haryana number car has gone off the road, with obviously disastrous consequences for the occupants. One could (wrongly?) conclude that the drivers were plains people and were not familiar with hill driving. A lone horse comes clip--clopping down the road, following its own beat... What's the link between the pony and the car, you think? See the lovely fold rock formations at the beginning of this clip. A true lesson in Himalayan geology and geography, showing the uplift of the Himalaya and the layers of under-sea ocean sediment that got solidified and uplifted.
