H. D. Deve Gowda speaks about the Urdu language issue. He says, "As far as the election is concerned it is only based on certain party programs. That to Janta Dal which is always fighting against communal and the caste politics. Some political parties are trying to inject communal feelings we are totally opposed to it. The only controversy is timing is so important there is no need for the government to introduce this thing at the time of the election as the election notification has been issued by the election commission that is number one. The number two is there is no need to oppose the Urdu language to be channelized at Doordarshan.
