On the 30th of November with the onset of early winter, the serene locale of Surajkund near Delhi was abuzz with a political hobnobbing witness to an encounter of a political kind. Cabinet ministers, chief ministers and the regional stalwarts, anybody who matters in Janata Dal was there. The occasion, the two day national camp for top party leaders, an attempt at not only measuring the achievements of the United Front Government but also to thrash out various odd corners within the party and the coalish. The personal appearence of the Prime Minsister, Mr H. D. Deve Gowda along with his A-team put a seal of sincerity and authority to the conclave.
