Carving and painting the Elephant god of India - what a privilege! Looks like Covid has got nothing on this bejewelled Ganesha idol as it sits in the studio of the artist in Meerut. The artists patiently puts glittering materials on the idol to make it looks like it is wearing jewellery. The Ganesh idols are ready to be sold for Ganesh Chaturthi which is an important Hindu Festival in India. These idols will be either used at the residence of families or in public by placing it in a pandal or makeshift hall. The idol will be immersed in water after more than a week of celebration of the festival.
