Making of broom using coconut leaves by a Bhutanese Woman Brooms are known as Cham in Bhutan and Jhaaru in India Aum Zangmo from Eastern Bhutan will help us illustrate how to make Broom out of Coconut leaves. A bunch of coconut leaves and a kitchen knife For the first step, separate each leaflet from the stalk Cut each of the rest of the leaflets into 4-5 long thin slivers. Make a bundle of the leaflet slivers making sure the thicker ends are evenly arranged. Tie the bundle with the leaflet set aside earlier. Your broom is ready for use. Enjoy the Video!
