RANCHI: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday unveiled a 33-feet-tall bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda at Bada Talab, popularly known as Ranchi Lake, on the occasion of his 156th birth anniversary and the National Youth Day. He also renamed the popular lake as Vivekananda Sarovar. The statue has been built by noted sculptor Ram V Sutar, who was also present on the occasion. “The inauguration of this statue also becomes important on the birth anniversary of Swamiji, as his dream of India becoming a world power can only become a reality when the youth of this nation follow his teachings.
