Jagannath Temple is a Hindu temple in Ranchi, India's 17th-century temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath. It was built by the king of Barkagarh Jagannathpur Thakur Ani Nath Shahdeo, in 1691. Completed on 25 December 1691, it is located about 10 km from the main town. The temple is on top of a small hillock. The temple also has a large hall in its complex, where thousands of marriages are solemnized every year. It can be reached through various means of locally available transport and light vehicles. When you visit the Jagannath temple, you will be mesmerized by its sacred atmosphere, serene surroundings, and beautiful sculptures. From the summit, you can see Ranchi city and enjoy a bird's eye view. The evening aarti at the Jagannath Temple brings a sense of tranquility to the mind.
