A very interesting sight to see a Leopard (Panthera pardus), preying at a Red-wattled lapwing (Vanellus indicus) while moving its tail in a certain pattern. Later it relaxes in the arid grassland and lies beside a peacock(Pavo cristatus). Leopards and big cats alike make use of their tails for a variety of different functions including, expressing mood, state of mind, as a form of communication, a way of strengthening social bonds, displaying irritation or frustration, in mating rituals and for enhanced movement.
