The irony of the words is not lost - a Kite is caught out by a kite... Manjha / Manja and kite string can be a frequent and serious cause of injury to birds in India's cities. A Pariah Kite or Black Kite (Milvus migrans) is struggling to free itself after it got trapped in a transparent string of a kite in Delhi. Stuck between a tree branch and the kite string the kite is suspended mid air by the tip of its wings. It must be uncomfortable and scary for the bird to be in such a state. Is flying a kite a necessity if this is what happens after the kite flying is over ? The poor birdie is sure struggling to free itself. Wildlife SOS was called in for this rescue. We waited for them to arrive and stayed on the spot to ensure that no bird bothered the poor Kite, and filmed its plight, to share
