These villagers live in tents and shanties along the Yamuna river in Delhi, as refugees from their regular rural lives, living in poverty and deprivation in our big huge unpleasant cities, and looking for work as labourers. How has India failed them and how have schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Yojana not worked for them?
