An alert and suspicious leopard walks through the jungles of Jhalana in the search for its prey. The leopard walks around marking a prey, sitting waiting for the right time to prance. But leaves after waiting for a while. Wildlife Sanctuaries of Jawai are home to extraordinary wildlife and wild predators such as Indian Wolf, Striped Hyena, Jungle wild cat, Panther and Indian Leopard. The hills around Jawai are known as India’s Leopard Hills and leopard lives with the villagers and other animals. Located on the eastern fringe of the state capital Jaipur, the Jhalana forest boasts of nearly 32 leopards roaming in and out of its precincts. The place is somewhat of a local wildlife sensation. With an area of just 24 square kilometres, it is home to over 20 leopards. Leopards are not endangered
