The chital or cheetal (Axis axis), also known as chital deer, spotted deer or axis deer, is a deer which commonly inhabits wooded regions of India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and in small numbers in Pakistan. With long and agile legs, these animals are often seen on the run and performing stunning jumps. Spotted deer are not lonely ungulates and usually live within a herb. These animals often move when they feel threatened and the fact they're constantly on an alert mode, makes them a hard prey to get.
