The forest floor is covered with soft white fibre released by the Semal tree (Bombax ceiba), creating an appearance similar to a light layer of snow. The cotton-like fibre lies among dry leaves and small green plants, with new leaves and thin branches visible in the foreground. A bright patch of Semal fibre is gathered in a shaded area beside a tree trunk and dark undergrowth. Semal trees produce capsules containing silky fibre that helps disperse their seeds by wind. The footage captures fallen Semal fibre forming soft white layers across the woodland floor.
