Female inmates of Tihar Jail prepare dal in a cavernous dekchi / pateela / cooking dish, using bathing plastic mugs to 'ladle' out the lentil soup into smaller (OK, huge on their own!) containers. Each container goes off to a different prison dining room. Meanwhile, a woman stirs with a walking stick sized ladle, a large pateela of milk, boiling it for a good period of time!
