A solo Indian Gray Mongoose roaming out of its burrow at our Wilderness Orchard in Delhi is filmed in slow motion. With the fine hairs in neat condition, the cute animal treads the freshly dug ground carefully while looking for food. All species of Mongoose in India are all protected by the Wildlife Protection act but this does not seem to hinder poachers in the illegal trade. Mongoose hair is valuable for making paint brushes and they are also favoured as pets by exotic animal collectors.
