Ravana effigies at the renowned Titarpur effigy market in West Delhi, India, widely recognized as one of Asia's largest centers for handcrafted Dussehra effigies. The footage captures bamboo frameworks being assembled to form the towering structures that represent Ravana and other characters from the Ramayana. Artisans are also seen preparing traditional flour-based adhesive by hand and applying it to paper sheets, a key step in covering the bamboo frames before painting and decorating them with colorful paper and fabric. These handcrafted effigies are created each year for Dussehra (Vijayadashami) celebrations, when they are displayed and ceremonially burned to symbolize the victory of good over evil.
