The dramatic high-altitude landscapes of Ladakh, India, feature several of the region's most iconic landmarks. The journey begins with Stakna Monastery (Stakna Gompa), standing on a solitary hill overlooking the Indus River Valley, surrounded by the rugged terrain of the Trans-Himalayas. The sequence continues with views of the white-domed Shanti Stupa rising above Chanspa in Leh. A telephoto view highlights the sharp summit ridge of Stok Kangri (6,153 metres) in the Stok Range, while panoramic scenes reveal Leh town nestled beneath snow-covered mountains. The footage concludes with warm sunset light illuminating the peaks of the Stok Range.
