North from Scindhia Ghat, Ram Ghat was built by a maharaja of Jaipur. The broken steps on the embankments speak volumes about the condition of one of the mythological ghats on the Ganga. The ghat is one of the most revered and also considered as sacred in the city. It comes alive during the Ramnavmi Mela held on the 9th day of Chaitra month to celebrate the birth of Lord Rama. Located at the top of the ghat is the Ram Janaki Temple and Ragheshwar Mahadev Mandir. The ghat is lined with small sheds where puja or prayers are offered by the priests of the ghats.
