He says, "I began thinking of Zooni when I first set foot on Kashmir which was in the early eighties I was trying to design a convention center trough Air India and promote country's traffic to the valley and at that time I felt that if you have to promote Kashmir on a worldwide basis you have to bring alive the legend, the culture, the beauty and especially the natural beauty of the valley through its four seasons and this whole thing for the four seasons is so distinct in the valley then I started working on these four seasons concept and when I came o know about this legend of Habba Khatoon and her intense love-story, upheavels of her life I felt they could all be fitted into this four season beauty of Kashmir."
