An official Public Works Department (PWD) anti-smog truck operating on the streets of New Delhi, India. The vehicle is equipped with a large mechanised anti-smog gun, which projects a high-pressure mist of fine water droplets into the surrounding air. The system is used to help suppress airborne dust and reduce concentrations of particulate matter, including PM2.5 and PM10, by encouraging suspended particles to settle. The truck moves along city roads as part of Delhi's air pollution mitigation measures, demonstrating one of the techniques employed to improve urban air quality during periods of elevated pollution.
