A short take on the hilly district of Garhwal in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. An old clip of the 1990's shows the life of the Garhwalis - the natives of Garhwal region. Village women, men and children attend a community meeting. At the village edge, a fresh water stream flows, even as a man fetches water from a village community tap, perhaps deprived of water. A baba walks across a bridge with his blanket and kamandalu, while a young boy herds his mules. A paramilitary force personnel herds a group of khachars swiftly along the road to Uttarkashi. Some shots of the landscape with acres of farming from the local region. Middle aged women carry heavy loads of hay back from the fields, as a Black Partridge calls repeatedly from the fields.
