It's mango season here in India and this has been filmed at our Wilderness Orchard. Come mid June and we are ready to harvest our langda Aam. The orchard hands are filmed plucking the mangoes by hand and packing them in wooden boxes. The mangoes are plucked straight from the tree by hand using ladders to avoid bruises and breakage of the mangoes. Mangoes are widely grown in India more than any other fruits and they are eaten as a fruit, fruit juice and even as curry. Langra or langda aam is mostly grown in northern India and a greenish peel even after ripening is unique to this variety. These mangoes have enough acidity to ripen after plucking without any chemicals.
