Dr Verghese Kurien on effects of delicecing on Amul: It would not really because Amul does not bother. Our objection to delicencing is that what it implied was that we as co-operative in Anand started with 200 litres a day collection and over the last 45-50 years. We by investing money in artificial insemination by veterinary are there for reproduction, various activities investing money, belonging to farmers. Collection today in that district is a million litres a day. Now if liberalization means that a multi-national can come and set up a dairy in Anand and harvest the crop we have sown and we have nurtured for 40 years then I have a violent and serious objection to such liberalisation.
