The ambience of the outdoors and the luxuriant forest all around makes the Madhav National Park in Shivpuri a simple tourist attraction. This park with it's rich deciduous forest is home to a variety of wildlife species. In the artificial lakes in the park a large number of avifauna inhabits the wide rock stream which crosses the forests track. For the tourists the Shivpuri tourist village becomes an ideal base camp to enjoy the wealth of flora and fauna in the Madhav National Park or to simply relax and unwind in the pristine natural environment. Deep inside the Madhav National Park, at its highest point, stands the exquisite George Castle at a height of almost 484 m (1597 feet). Sakhya and Madhav Sagar are the two lakes in the park, which are important biodiversity support systems. The c
