Traffic jam on a highway in India! A rare sight of a Dhangar tending to his flock in Pune. Dhangars are a nomadic pastoral community residing in western Maharashtra. Notice the neat headgear in yellow and the pink shawl which stands out from the very modern surroundings of the highway and vehicles passing by. More than a hundred goats and lamb cross the highway in Pune with their Dhangar or shepherd in a yellow turban behind them. The flock and the olf man trudges past bikes and does not seem to be bothered.
