An Indian shoe-maker makes leather shoes at his 150 year old leather shop in Pune, Maharashtra. This shop is located in the busy market of MG Road, Camp, Pune. The buildings are decrepit and in need of repair but the shoes come out just fine! MG road is the commercial hub of Pune Cantonment. It leads onto East Street at Shankarshet Road, which later becomes the Pune-Sholapur-Hyderabad highway. Like most of the major roads in the city, the MG road is a one way i.e. one can only travel from the direction of Shankershet Road towards Ambedkar Square. Saturday evenings are very busy and you can find well-off young people in their best clothes thronging the place. Earlier, every weekend from 5– 9 pm, the road used to be cordoned off and no vehicles were allowed, thus making it a pedestrian area
