“The Ramleela titled Katha Ramrajya Ki that is being performed—when and where was its concept developed? And today, as it is being presented in such an impressive manner, could you tell us about its stage design?” He replied: “I would say this dates back about 25–30 years. The Ramleelas that used to take place earlier were performed in a traditional style. The messages we wanted to convey were not being fully communicated to society. Around that time, television also became popular, creating competition for live performances. So we felt that some changes were necessary in the way Ramleela was being presented.
