Shaniwar Wada, a historic fort in Pune which was made by the Peshwas of the Maratha Kings. The fort and the humongous gates with spikes stand out despite the negligence of maintenance. This is one of the historical locations in Pune with the statue of Bjirao I. This location has gained tourists after the Bollywood film, Bajirao Mastani. Legend has it that the fort is haunted after the cries of one of the young ruler who passed away in a ghastly manner.
