He also talks about Indian films, actors, acting and the diversity of screenplay. Ashok Amritraj: I went to Los Angeles in 1975 to play professional tennis. I played for the LA tennis team for 5 years and till 1981 I continued to play tennis. But filmmaking was something which I loved and since I was a kid growing up in Chennai, watching The Sound of Music 32 times, and I've always loved the movies like many of us.
