A group of women sits around a machine for making rosary beads outdoors in a village in India. Blocks of wood are placed on top of a metal plate. The singular beads are drilled out through an opening on the metal plate. Rosary beads are collected below the platforms of the machine. These beads will be put through smoothening the edges and colouring, string and finally selling. The rosary beads are an important part of religious rituals for devotees of Hinduism.
