In honour and memory of those who fought valiantly to make sure we feel safe in our homes. Then Defence Minister, George Fernandes arrives to pay homage to the soldiers who gave their lives during the Kargil Conflict. The coffins of the slain soldiers are draped with the National Flag as their comrades pay their respects. The presentation of wreaths of flowers is accompanied by the musical band of the Indian Army.
